70 walkers + one corporate sponsor =
twice our goal - nearly $20,000!
On August 15th individuals came together from all over the Twin Cities to take a walk through downtown Saint Paul and raise money for The Family Place. In addition, Northland Insurance, a division of Travelers, supported our event through an employee fundraising contest. The end result is nearly $20,000 to support the work we do for homeless families with children.
The walk route included stops at organizations that are frequently visited by the people we serve. We thank the staff of these organizations who gave up a part of their Saturday to provide information and answer questions for our walkers. The beautiful Cosmopolitan Apartments on Mears Park hosted a fantastic finish line reception.
