Year after year, The Family Place has received overwhelming support from its volunteers. In 2009, nearly 1,500 volunteers provided over 5,334 hours of service. That's the equivalent of over $100,000 in service.
When you join this dedicated group of volunteers, you will help to heal the devastating effects of homelessness on families with children.
Volunteers have told us that, after preparing a meal and sharing it with our guest families, the volunteer's perceptions change--as suddenly a face is associated with poverty and homelessness.
Many of our volunteers are mobilized to action when they leave The Family Place, often bringing new volunteers with them when they return. We've structured our programs to provide many different opportunities for volunteers to interact with our guest families. Look for an opportunity that's right for you.
