Our Mission
The Family Place is a day center for homeless families with children that provides for their most immediate needs while coordinating and delivering services that lead to stability.The Family Place seeks to address three primary concerns:
- to meet basic needs
- to nurture children and provide enrichment support
- to assist in finding housing and transitional support
Our Vision
The Family Place envisions the day when:- the greater community is aware of the plight of homeless families with children
- a new approach to homeless families is accepted – moving them into transitional housing or permanent homes rather than emergency shelters
- supportive services and access to services help prevent further episodes of homelessness
- private and corporate citizens in our community are engaged in correcting the injustices endured by homeless children
