Our volunteers are special people.
Our guest families have been living without stability in their lives. They're living with the stigma of homelessness which attacks feelings of self-esteem and dignity. We look for volunteers who can help provide stability and help our guests feel better about their situation.
For these reasons, we ask our volunteers to meet these expectations:
- Volunteers must be consistent in their time commitment at The Family Place. Whether you commit to once a week or once a month, we count on your time to support our staff and our guest families.
- Volunteers must commit to two or more hours per visit.
- Volunteers must be flexible in the type of service they can provide and non-judgmental in working with our guests.
