We assist our guests in preparing and mailing resumes and we provide coaching on writing, telephone, and interview etiquette We have computers and phones available for guest use, on-site staff to answer questions and provide one-on-one coaching, and referrals to job agencies throughout Ramsey County.
Families in our employment program work toward the goal of securing an income level to support their new housing on a long-term basis.
In addition, the the Jumpstart for Jobs Program provides short-term financial aid to parents who have found employment so that they can pay for day care before they actually start receiving assistance or income. Often a parent will finally secure employment after a long and arduous search only to find they cannot accept the position because they are initially unable to pay for day care or transportation.
